FAQ

Jangan terlalu santai sampai lupa tujuan awal..

Q: Siapa dibalik akun VictoryGarden.id?

A: Kami adalah kakak beradik. But overall, we want to share happiness with our plants!! ^^

Q: Servis apa yang ditawarkan?

A: OPS VictoryGarden.id umumnya menjual tanaman, tapi kami juga menerima konsinyasi (Consignment), dan plant swap untuk tanaman-tanaman tertentu, please DM us via IG for more info! :).

A: Dari Kota Depok, Provinsi Jawa Barat - Indonesia.

Q: Bisa minta refund ngga kalo tanamannya rusak?

A: Boleh banget, syaratnya tinggal kirim video ketika unboxing.

A: Harganya ngga selalu mahal ko.

PLANTS 0: #1 Pengelompokan Tanaman Hias

I really feel how hard it is to differentiate them at first, so my intention is just to share these. It took me a lot of reading and watching those youtube experiments to finally (kind of) understand.

Ketika beli tanaman, pernah ngga si bingung ketika dengar...
Aglaonema
Dieffenbachia
Philodendron
Caladium
Alocasia
Xanthosoma
Colocasia
Schismatoglottis
Syngonium

Apa sih itu? Sama ngga si? Bedanya apa?

Terus, kalo... Monstera apa lagi?

Nah...inget ngga si dulu kita pernah belajar tentang taksonomi tanaman? Just like all living things, tanaman itu ada taksonominya.

"Plant taxonomy is the science that finds, identifies, describes, classifies, and names plants."

Naahh.. ketika kita denger istilah kaya..
Aglaonema
Anthurium
Alocasia
Dieffenbachia
Caladium
Colocasia
Philodendron
Schismatoglottis
Syngonium
Xanthosoma

Which means... mereka semua adalah tanaman berbunga, berkeping biji tunggal (monokotil) yang umumnya kebanyakan tumbuh di lingkungan tropis (let me say that again, "kebanyakan").

Intinya nama gengnya bisa gitu karena bentuk daun maturenya bisa tumbuh guede banget daunnya dan umumya berbentuk unusual (monsterous) but to me they're shoo pretty. Tanaman di sub-famili ini biasanya merambat/menjalar, makin cucok tempatnya makin bisa gede daunnya. tanaman ini kayanya udah jadi "it" plant for the last couple of years apalagi yang varigated (udah pindah harga, bukan naik harga lagi haha), yakin deh kayanya tanaman di sub-famili ini paling banyak menghiasi rumah-rumah. Janda bolong lah, monvar, monjo, kalo arsitek-arsitek biasanya sering pake untuk melengkapi desain rumah-rumah atau bangunan lain bernuansa monokrom untuk menghidupkan suasananya. (biar ngga terkesan cold and sober lah desainnya pokoke, wkwk)

B A R U   G E N U S N Y A....

Kita belum bahas sampe taksonomi terkecil yaitu Spesies, bare with me please... Bobo dulu ngga apa-apa ko, lanjutin baca besok aja... ehhhh just kidding, jangan dong..finish what you have started, hayo!! wkwkwk

etc.

Philodendron jugaaa... ngga cuma Philo Merpati aja ya gais yang punya nama lengkap Philodendron Pedatum, there are, among others...
Philodendron squamiferum
Philodendron billitiae
Philodendron giganteum

Monstera deliciosa
Monstera adansonii
Monstera pertusa
Monstera borsigiana
etc.

My first Monstera borsigiana.

Selamat mengkoleksi!!!

PLANTS!!!

Yes, I'm starting my long lost hobby again for a while (a long while) after I got all caught up in work-marriage-parenting life. This cloudy pandemic had somehow given me a chance to start my hobby again since I spend more time at home than I usually do now.

I will be turning my blog into a series of my planting experience. Please note that I'm not an expert, I do not hold any degree in Botany or Agriculture and most of my suggestions are either based on my personal experience or some journals/ trusted source of literature, hasil sharing dengan plant parent/ plant hobbyist lainnya.

And oh I also work full time in an Urban Design/Architecture company, trying my best to create future cities fit for kids to run around. So I might be slow in responding your messages, DM, and such, saya hanya manusia biasa yang mencoba untuk multitasking tapi tetap santai untuk menjaga kewarasan duniawi yang semakin runyam. BTW saya KTP emang Jaksel, jadi kalo bahasanya setengah-setengah gini mohon maklum aja ya, hihi.

So stay tuned!!

LPDP PK 22

From November 16 to 22, the highly anticipated PK22 program took place. What’s PK? Program Kesehatan (Health Program)? Program Kesejahteraan (Welfare Program)? Nope! PK stands for Persiapan Keberangkatan (Pre-Departure Preparation). Previously known as the Leadership Program, the name has evolved over time while retaining the same core objectives. Organized by LPDP (Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan) of the Republic of Indonesia, PK is a mandatory follow-up program for LPDP Master's and Doctoral scholarship recipients after the administrative selection, interviews, and Leaderless Group Discussion (LGD).

The purpose of PK is to prepare awardees before they depart for their respective universities. The program covers sessions on scholarship regulations, leadership qualities, national pride, social contribution, and mental and physical preparation.

Personal Experience

Since August 25, 2014, I had been pursuing a Master’s degree in Urban Design at ITB. I was already accepted as an LPDP awardee after passing the selection process in July 2014. To attend PK22, I had to take a five-day academic leave. At the time, I was two months pregnant and planning my wedding with my husband, who had also been accepted to ITB's Master's program in Architecture Design.

Initially, I worried that my pregnancy might affect my performance during PK. To my surprise, the organizers and fellow participants were incredibly supportive. I was even excused from the outbound activities to minimize risks, which showed the program's respect for my condition. This was truly heartening—proving that women, despite their natural roles, are still supported by the government to pursue education and participate fully in professional development.

Challenges and Growth

One memorable challenge during PK was the live-tweeting task. Participants with the highest number of followers were expected to post 22 tweets per session daily. Social media was not my forte; I usually used Twitter only for reading news or casual chats. At first, this task seemed nearly impossible. However, with determination and help from friends, I managed to do it—a personal achievement that taught me the value of persistence.

Lessons Learned

PK22 was filled with valuable lessons and unforgettable experiences. The speakers, with their diverse backgrounds, offered fresh perspectives on life and professional growth. I was deeply inspired by their insights.

A special thanks to my incredible group, Ali Sastroamijoyo.

  • Ramda: Thank you for reminding me about pre-PK assignments and for your amazing video projects.
  • Agus: You kept our spirits high even during tough times, using a megaphone when your voice was nearly gone.
  • Maduma: Your discipline kept us punctual and successful, even when we asked you to step forward multiple times during ice-breaking sessions.
  • Mba Tika, Mba Indah, and Albert: Thanks for helping me with live-tweeting tasks.
  • Mas Amos: Your dedication during outbound activities helped us win the paintball session.
  • Mas Yutmen and Mas Darus: Your teamwork during Sharing and Inspiration Class motivated and inspired the students at SMA PGRI Depok.
  • Mba Yuni and Mba Maryam: Thank you for sharing valuable advice on family life and pregnancy.
  • Mas Antoni and Mba Yuki: Your ideas sparked new inspiration for my thesis.
  • Fandi: Your dedication to pre-PK tasks, even staying up for days without sleep, motivated me to work harder.
  • Mas Oni: Thank you for allowing me to assist with choreography and for engaging discussions during seminars that kept me awake.
  • Mba Veni: Your positive words and daily check-ins kept my spirits up.

Special thanks to my roommates: Dr. Intan, who monitored my health daily, and Sarahi and Zuhra, my confidants during the program.

I initially expected to meet great people at PK22, but I found people who were beyond exceptional. Their kindness, determination, and experiences taught me so much.

Lastly, a big thank you to Mas Rofi, our evaluator, who took great care of me and my group throughout the program. Your support meant a lot.

PK22 was a life-changing experience that reinforced my belief in Indonesia's future. I am hopeful that each of us will contribute to building a better nation. Amin.

IMPERIAL KITCHEN DUCK NOODLE

Before the day ends, I might as well capture some scattered thoughts. Today was genuinely exciting — perhaps "overwhelmingly happy" better describes my mood. Despite spending most of the day lazing around at the office, I deserved it. I had stayed up until 4 a.m. working on the layout for the Abang Mpok Depok Grand Finals 2013 proposal, then managed just a few hours of sleep before heading back to work.

The day was technically designated for R&D at the office, or as I like to call it, a "break." It kicked off with a presentation on Townships and New Towns (Kota Baru) by one of the assistants, which was quite interesting. I arrived late after the previous night's overtime marathon, compounded by lingering tasks that had kept me up.

The landscape team was busy rearranging their R&D case studies to meet a pressing product deadline for our Hong Kong headquarters. Normally, my supervisor Agnes would help, but she was out sick. So I opted to stay focused on my current priority: completing a project in Senggigi — a 20-hectare resort development. It was my first "solo" project, from baseline analysis and design sketches all the way to the final report, which I finally wrapped up today for submission on Monday. Achieving this amidst the chaos felt like a win.

Later in the afternoon, out of nowhere, Mas Bon messaged me asking if I'd like to join him for his favorite meal: Imperial Kitchen Duck Noodles and Singaporean Sautéed Beans. By 3 p.m., he declared he was leaving Bandung and suggested we meet at Margo City in Depok. Knowing Jakarta's legendary traffic, Depok was the logical compromise.

After finishing my work around 7 p.m., I rushed to catch the train, excited but exhausted. Seeing him was such a relief after a long, hectic day. He stood there in his red Pirelli jersey and grey checkered Bermudas, his familiar scent lingering — the same one he mischievously sprayed on my knitwear before dropping me off at home. I hate saying goodbye to him. I hate being apart. But this is a challenge I need to face: learning how to be unattached, despite loving someone deeply. It sucks, but I remind myself — absence makes the heart grow fonder, right?

What touched me most was his effort to make the meeting happen. In a long-distance relationship, where we're 120 kilometers apart, working in different provinces, and often limited to weekends (if lucky), these moments matter. It's not about the duration but the quality — the feeling of being in someone's presence.

Long-distance relationships thrive on intentionality. As much as technology helps, nothing compares to in-person conversations and shared moments that strengthen the bond. And tonight, that effort made all the difference

A dull morning

Test. *finally tried blogging with my iphone* still getting the hang of it, me and touchscreen are very prone to typos. But I still prefer the usual desktop, plus the conventional keyboards. hehhe but its nice to see that Ill be able to reach my blog on mobile 😊.

Good morning!

SEIZE THE MOMENT

Just got back from work around an hour ago, and suddenly got inspired to write again after "like" "totally" "so" long. I usually have too much consideration when it comes to writing. So lets hope that i could pull myself together after an hour or two.

"there I go skipping a minute..."
Arisbon just IM'd me to tell that he's running out of bat so I had to skip a minute of this writing to quick reply him. Anyway if anyone is reading this and might be wondering who Arisbon is, I promise to you ill write about this special guy. But lets focus today's writing on self contemplation and evaluation.

Ok.. where were I..
Ok, yes writing from the heart. Hmm...,lately I've been thinking about concepts. Concepts of life, how one perceive to see and lo live it. I admit solemnly that I'm a chicken when it comes to interpreting feelings into words. It happens a lot. I'm quiet sure that its because I'm more of a practical person. Its easier to interpret feelings by actions I guess, words are just too two dimensional. (and i also believe that its the cause of all the misunderstandings I made)

As we get older we face much complicated problems that we had to handle. Myself for an instance thought that I had faced a a lot, and each year for me is a different experience with its own level of difficulties and complications. and each year just doesn't get easier.

As we get older, we tend to think that there are a lot of things that are unnecessary. These kind of thoughts are a pat of our long learning life process.

By now, I had gone through more than a year in my professional working experience as an assistant urban designer (not forgetting to mention also as a partially hired researcher and my part time volunteering as a tourism ambassador). As an assistant I've learned so much, just like how I have had since years ago. I got to realize also that my way of thinking is gradually changing. I had to think about long term priorities which I was not used to before. The way i used to do things was more of  "do what you like" but not all these experience and self -maturing attitude made my self for thinking "do what you think is right".

See, the way I perceive these two different phrase is :

"do what you like" seems more inconsiderate, prompt, and random. more subjective and feels more egocentric.

whereas,

"do what you think is right" feels more thoughtful *well at least there is a bit of a thinking process involved* and the term "right" which probably will also get our self for thinking comparisons between whats right or wrong, and whats good or bad.

I guess this is how i changed overtime, I was eventually forced to think this way because of the external force that made me had to decide upon my own choices and solve my own problems. Being an adult turns out to be not so easy, *not that I'm saying that i cant live up to it* there are much more risk and sacrifices that we have to make in order to feel secure. But I guess that there are not only one just like me? (right??.....anyone????.... no???.. hmmm ok, ill have to requestion on that again, hehe)

Sooooo the point is..., Lets face this phase of a challenging life to go further on the next!!.
There is a wonderful future waiting ahead for us to enjoy and explore. :)

Love from Depok City!

Cheers!
N

I collect too many words its in my head.
Most of them are remained unsaid.
there are things so much to do.
Standing in a hall.
Asking me to carry them too.
been taking my time.
but I wasted the time.
then I realized I miss, I miss that kiss.
No use to deny.
Cause there’s only time
Can heal me from that kiss, I miss.

Every time I breath I won’t let a second pass me by, seize the moment.
And I wont release it or leave it.
Every time I breath, there won’t be a second passing by, seize the moment.
Won’t let it go

I remember many dreams.
I meant to get.
Most of them still laying in my bed.
But i do remember you.
With the glory smile.
How I wish to cherish you too.
The places I've seen.
And the faces I've seen.
Is there somewhere unhold.... unhold..... Untold.

The space in between.
What it feels unreal.
But the stories still untold

As the time goes by.
I really mean you to realize.
The things we've got.
I think we could lose by surprise

SAND

Words of Wisdom...

That a relationship is like grasping sand in your hand
Hold it loosely with an open hand and the sand will remain
The tighter you hold on to it, the faster it dribbles in between your fingers

Hold your relationship loosely
with respect and freedom for the other person
and remain embraced

Life is not an essay

Life is not an essay.

The past is not what we should be afraid of, what’s done is done.
What scares me is the bit of the past that's left in the future.
The ones that will bring you down.
My loved one always says to me that nothing should I be afraid of.
It’s nothing worth for wasted.
Do what you can do as long as its righteous.
"Your time is more precious for thinking about things that you love.
Rather than making yourself afraid or regret."

Happy 2013!

It's been so long since I posted I don't quite no where to begin, I have not been getting enough time to write on this this blog post since I've been busy working my nights out at the urban design consultant company where I work usually almost for 10 hours everyday and now I keep deleting everything I type. I think I will just share with you some of my favorite photos from the past and some stories that's left unposted on my draft box. I will ease myself slowly back in to the world of blogging with no pressure, if I do write more often then I must be a superman and if I don't then Ill still probably be imagining myself fantacizing my holiday in Bali for New Years Eve. Happy New Year 2013 everyone! :)

Green Tea Frappuccino

Call me cheesy or whatever, but I fell in love with this man. He gave me love, life, and the most important thing of all is that he gave me laugh, lots and lots and lots and lots of it, and I'm very thankful. Frankly, I'm tired of wishing, but dear shooting stars, if only I could just have one wish,I wish that he could be my last, to be the person I will spend the rest of my life with.

MIND TRICK

Have you ever had a feeling that strong towards someone you barely ever met? ...

GO FOR IT!

Lately, I feel like an overloaded hard drive—too many things running simultaneously, all demanding my attention. Beyond my routine work as an Urban Designer at a Master Planning and Landscape consultancy, I’ve also taken on the role of a tourism ambassador for Depok, the city I’ve called home since I was just three months old.

My days have become much more diverse, filled with multitasking and balancing different responsibilities. Yet, despite the chaos, I’m genuinely excited that I can still "be"—present, engaged, and thriving.

I feel incredibly grateful and blessed to have such a supportive circle of amazing family and friends who’ve stood by me since high school and college. Their unwavering encouragement keeps me going, and for that, I am beyond thankful.

July has made me feel a little older (sigh), but life goes on, and I look forward to meeting more inspiring people this year. Thank you all for the thoughtful calls, heartfelt wishes, beautiful prayers, fantastic gifts, and delightful voice recordings. You’ve made this journey even more meaningful. ❤️

CHALLENGE

As I step further towards the end of the road I realize that the shades of grey covers my view, giving a slight left for me to continue the journey. Every move thought and speech became a diverse continuum that one can not even interpret. We all live in shadows, trapped inside it because of the external force. Even the nature is helpless.  I can only step forward for the reason that the past path was erased by the dark reflection of myself. I only have my self and my faith.

REVIEW : PART I

And I was in the middle of wrapping up my mini presentation of a seminar review about sustainable building and construction for my company "TOMORROW" morning while writing this post. I got bored and thought I could use some refreshments.

So, I decided to pay a visit here. As I scrolled through the labels of my post it came through my mind the heading "PRIORITY", I remembered that I wrote it exactly a year ago, I think it was supposed to be a new year's resolution, but I was too busy with my final project that I eventually recalled jotting down one in April last year.

- Wrap up my Final Year Project
- Apply for an Internship somewhere in a faraway land, or
- scholarship for master's degree
(well, I managed to apply for some this year, I'm crossing my fingers for my Fulbright application, and others, I really hope that I could continue my master's soon without constraints of any working contract, Amin)
- Get a summer job
- Spend more time with friends
- Wrap up my department report
- Jogging (this kinda worked out *a bit*)
- Try new cooking and document them (* I did try to make some pancakes :D? *)
- Write a story that i had in my head since a couple of months ago
*Maybe make a biography :D* (Ii did manage to make a CV for job interviews?! *Close enough*)
- Travel around Holland and snap some pictures.
- Read some good books
- Learn some new languages
(Even if I started this a bit too late, I still managed to get it on track :D my German class starts this 5th of May yeaayy! :D)
- Conduct a small version of lonely planet
(In this case I'm also planning to visit some places, hope my plan works out well :))
- and well... maybe join another conference.

It's actually nice to make some goals, it gives me the idea of where I am going and keeps me in the right track. Out of the 17 resolutions I made, I managed to achieve 10, in progress of achieving 3, and failed in 4.

So, I guess I'm ready to get back on the track. :) hellooo 2012!

SELF REFLECTION

Its been a while since my fingers had been dancing on top of my loyal-life supporting Asus.I left this blog for almost (1...2...3...4.. ok) 5 months already. After I got back from that vicious cold country, underwent a proper convocation ceremony, and eventually got employed, things a bit changed. Since I've been committed to a working contract as an assistant Urban Design consultant I'm lacking of precious spare time after office hours *seriously I'm not wining nor complaining, just contemplating.. well maybe a little- but just a little*. I solemnly believe that this is a consequence of being employed, I work to be responsible of what I am obligated to take part in and I am satisfied of how I was "capable" of filling the national market demand.

This is to remind myself how I had went through living my life, just to reflect myself on how my emotions and maturity developed. How decisions that were made determines where I head to in life, how I was able to obtain the best out of un-mendable mistakes that I accidentally or consciously made. It's still a long journey, and I'm not sure until when I will arrive in my final destination.

Eventually in the end all I wanted to feel before the glory or a failure of a result  is the process. the "going through" part of the story  which I think is important in making me realize what kind of input I've learned so far or how experience moulds me to become a better individual and the way my perspective change towards responding a certain phenomenon.

CONFESSION

I will be bold.
I will fix my stupid past decisions.
I will work harder.
I will make better plans.
and I will continue to live up my dreams!

Welcome 2012!! :)
